Statement of Faith

  • The Scripture                                                                                                                                  We believe that the sixty-six books comprising the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired, and without error. As such, this canon of Scripture is the only inerrant and authoritative basis for all of our beliefs. We believe it represents an accurate account of historical events of the past, and of events yet to occur in the future. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:3-4, 21).

  • The Trinity

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8, 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3).

  • God the Father

We believe in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2, 102:27; John 3:16, 4:24; I Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3).

  • God the Son

We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, that He is eternal, and in unity with the Father and the Holy Spirit. We believe in His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death on the cross (II Cor.5:21), His bodily resurrection, His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1, Matthew 1:18,25, Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 9:15-22, 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 9:27-28)

  • God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ (John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26, 15:13,16; II Corinthians 3:18; Hebrews 9:14). We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide (John 16:13, 14:16-17, 16:8-11; Romans 8:26)

  • Sin

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of God’s standard and breaking His commandments – and therefore are under God’s righteous judgment. Yet, God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith, trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. At the cross, Jesus Christ died in our place as our substitute, absorbing God’s wrath that should have come upon us. Because Jesus died for the sins of the world the invitation to believe is open to all, and whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 11:28; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20:21; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 8-9; I John 2:2; Revelation 22:17).

  • Eternal Life                                                                                                                                          We believe that every individual must receive Christ and his offer of forgiveness of sins in order to receive eternal life. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7) We believe that those who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, will receive eternal punishment in a literal hell, where they will be separated from God.  (Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)                                â€‹

  • Human life                                                                                                                                                   We believe that God created all human beings in His image. Therefore, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; that we must honor the physical and spiritual needs of all people; following Christ's example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity and respect. (Psalm 13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:6-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)

  • the church                                                We believe that all believers are members of his body, the Church. (Philippians 2:1-4)
